Wairarapa Catchment Collective - Administration & Communications Coordinator (Contract - 30 hours per week)
The Wairarapa Catchment Collective is looking for an Administration and Communications Coordinator to support our growing network of catchment groups in the Wairarapa. The role is a part-time fixed term contract initially for one year, with the possibility of extending to the end of August 2028.
The purpose of the role is to provide administration support to the project team, catchment community groups, and to manage the Collective’s social media, website, newsletter, and other external communications. The role also plays a key part in maintaining relationships between the Collective and our catchment groups.
The ideal candidate will:
Be a confident communicator who is able to build relationships with a diverse range of people
Have experience in processing financial transactions, bank reconciliations, and ideally knowledge of Xero
Have some knowledge of supporting project governance, building agendas and minute taking
Enjoy coordinating events
Have experience using Communication and design tools including website content management system, Canva, and email newsletter platforms
Be interested in supporting our catchment community communications and engagement through social media, newsletter, and story-telling
Preferably have experience working with community groups, have an understanding of the rural sector and a passion for the environment.
The role is flexible, but you may need to work occasionally at the weekend or evening if there is an event on. You will need to be a contractor with your own laptop and phone, and have your own vehicle.
